Hey, marientje. I checked your account and it was indeed disabled. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience, I don't know how that happened. You should have no problems now. Please let me know if you do.
And welcome to Whoosh!

I have been trying to login to whooshorg.proboards.com for several days now and keep getting told that my username and/or password is incorrect. I even followed some advice about how to see what my login ID truly was but it appears you have to be logged in to see it. The link I was able to copy was as follows: whooshorg.proboards.com/user/232Doesn't show anything about my original login ID. If someone could just send the information I need to login to my email of record, I would appreciate it. I have tried "Spock" and "spock" with no difference in the error message I get. I also keep losing the forum I was able to post to last, so have been forced to recreate the problem discussion. It doesn't help that I've been sick and haven't really felt like fighting with the system. Regards, Spock

Spock, after the upgrade, all of your forums and profiles have been linked, and they all use one master password. If you used different passwords for each of the forums, one of them should get you in. When I logged in for the very first time, I used the old password that went with that profile, and then it asked me for the master password, and from then on out, I only had to use the one master password. The old passwords no longer apply. So, the password that gets you into here, and on Whoosh's test board should get you into Whoosh.
And if that doesn't work, you'll need to join and post here:

Trouble is, I "recovered" my password multiple times just to make sure I had it correct. Each time the "new" password was initially accepted and then rejected. As far as I can remember, I never had a master password. At least I'm actually logged into this forum ... which makes me wonder why I'm not able to access Whooshorg. Will take a look at your link, thanks. [Added] Well, I went to the ink you gave and couldn't login, so I asked to reset my password yet again thinking this may have been the master password you were talking about. No luck. Can't login there either.

I didn't have a master password either. But when I upgraded this forum, the admin password became the master password of all of my profiles now. Each time I logged into a profile, I gave their password, and them the master password, and it linked them all. When you log in here, look at the bottom right of you screen. Hover over the images. The first one is for switching accounts, and the second one is for switching forums. Click on the 'switching forums' icon and see if Whoosh is on there and click on it. That might get you in. *shrugs*

Spock: I just now had the same problem you had when I tried to log into my Support account, and that is because it is attached to a separate master/global account from these on this board, and my other two boards. I used a different email addy with it so it didn't get linked to this global account. It created a new global account for that email addy. When I logged out of the global account linked to this email addy, I was able to log into my support account, with a different email addy.
Therefore I'm guessing you're logged into a different global account. You may think you logged out of it, but apparently you didn't. You need to double check that you've logged out of all of your forum accounts before trying to log into Whoosh. Then you should be able to log in and link it to your other account.
BTW: I created a thread there asking for them to link your accounts. I think you can post there as a guest, so if you are still having this problem 24 hours from now, you can bump the thread:

Tried your trick with the icon and the only two I have access to are Open House And the Whoosh test board. I will try your link tomorrow. I've been out of bed now for at least 6 hours and can hear the covers calling. Don't believe anyone if they tell you that getting old, especially if you have to have surgery, is easy. [Added] OK, I couldn't help myself. I followed your link and responded like the lame duck I feel like. Hope all this gets sorted soon, I miss my Whoosh fix! P.S. - "That's HEADLEY!" (Blazing Saddles)

Spock: You used your website email for Whoosh, and your gmail for the other two forums. So try using your website email to log in and not the gmail one. Then use the suggestion I was given at the link above to unlink the account so it will connect to the other one. Then log back into that account to delete it. Make sure it is empty of all accounts before deleting it.
Here's hoping you get in soon.

Hmm, I just tried using my website email. Before I got an almost instant response, this time it's been at least 5 seconds and nothing!
I wonder if I should perhaps wait a little longer?
[Added] Hmm, 15 minutes now ...

Isn't it the same password it has always been? You should be able to just log in. First make sure you're logged out of this account, and the account on the test board, and also make sure you're logged out of the 'behind the scenes' global account. Then you should be able to log in at Whoosh.

OK, I logged out of the only two fora I had access to, this one and the test board. I have no idea what you mean by 'behind the scenes' global account, so wasn't able to do that.
Now I can't log back into here!

Fascinating. I don't know what I did or how the magic was applied but I sent yet another password reset request and now I have access again. I also changed my website email to my gmail address so everything should be using the same email.
My biggest problem now is that I usually use a different password for each and every website, forum, blog, etc I visit. It's going to take some getting used to the fact that for anything using ProBoards I am only allowed a single password for them all. Doesn't seem very secure to me.
Thanks for all your help. I'm feeling so tired after my surgery that I was about to give up.

You're very welcome for the help, Spock. I'm glad the gremlins finally turned loose of your account. To go to your 'behind the scenes' global account:
1) At the bottom right of your screen, click on . It will take you there. 2) Go to proboards.com and click on the "Log In" link. Put in your email addy and your password. (If you're already logged in, you should see your 'behind the scenes' headquarters when you go to the home page.)
From there you can switch between all your linked forums and profiles. There's an option to log in using your accounts &/or email addy. They suggest you choose the option to only use your email addy. That option might make you feel a bit more secure.
